“Thriving: A Community Mental Wellness Series” launching in partnership with The Acreage
Join us for a new program launching this fall, “Thriving - A Community Mental Wellness Series.” Thriving is a free program designed to help individuals (age 18+) improve their mental wellbeing through a mix of education and activities.
Led by the Mental Health Task Force and therapist Kim Henningsgard, Thriving will use the natural setting of The Acreage at Osceola to practice evidence-based strategies that support mental health while building a sense of community.
Topics include the role of mindfulness, nature, nutrition, movement, creativity, and social connection in mental health, and we will welcome special guest experts to lead us in hands-on activities throughout the series of six sessions.
Our first session is Tuesday, October 22nd! We will learn about the role of nature in mental health and get outdoors on the walking trails at The Acreage to practice mindfulness strategies.
Participants are welcome to drop in for one session or register now for all six. Registration is required! Link:https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdu0Towx3MLn2m38sXpNkAKsPzIrjgbdMHO7WSaCpE6ZwEouQ/viewform
