Unofficial Referendum Results: Yes - 1,126 No - 1,256
On April 2nd, our community will get to vote on a building referendum aimed at addressing a critical need within our district: the aged elementary school.
If approved, the referendum will allow the district to:
Move grades 4K-2 out of the current elementary school and into an addition to the intermediate school with enhanced security, indoor air quality, and energy efficiency.
Reconfigure to three schools to optimize facility usage by transitioning to a 4K-4,5-8, and 9-12 configuration.
Reduce the size and cost of an addition/renovation to the intermediate school by integrating 5th grade into the middle school, which was initially built to be a 5-8 building.
Provide a streamlined and collaborative educational experience for students and staff by reducing transitions for students and ensuring consistent and coherent teaching and learning across grade levels.
