Enrich your life with the gift of music! Osceola Community Ed welcomes back experienced piano and voice instructor Marissa Dodge for private after school music lessons, for students and adults of all skill levels.
PIANO ~ Instruction categories include: basic piano technique, piano performance, and ear training, chord progressions, essential chordal theory, reading and writing lead sheets, chord charts, improvisation, playing with a band, and the art of accompanying vocalists and soloists.
VOICE ~ Instruction includes: correct breathing and placement of the voice, ear training, sight reading, voice maintenance and voice health, vocal performance techniques, and more.
When?
Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays after school. Once registered, you will work with Marissa Dodge to schedule a day/time.
Where?
Osceola Intermediate School (OIS), music room.
What is the cost?
$20.00 per half hour lesson. Monthly tuition is due by the 1st of every month.
Fees are not waived for missed lessons, but with notice may be made up. Lessons will not be held on days that school is closed.

Everyone has their own song in their heart! Create your own melody, lyric and story. In this class you will learn basic chord theory, fundamental vocal technique and get an introduction to songwriting. Each student will have the chance to learn chords on a keyboard to make a simple song form, essential vocal techniques, breathing, placement and pitch.
The song will be created for an instrument and voice. This is a collaborative process with the instructor and all students in the class. If your student only plays an instrument, someone will accompany them with voice. If your student only sings, they will get an instrumental accompaniant. Students can bring their own guitars, ukuleles, etc.
Put it all together and “Viola!”, you've got your very own song to perform at the end of your session, and at the May 28th concert.
